How could this happen? A customer paid via a bad check? Even Jon's $7 script can prevent this by sending the download link automatically after the payment clears. It's so unfair that the bad guys get their downloads without paying a cent and the affiliates get nothing for their efforts. Why Clickbank allow this? Isn't it better to give customers the download link after the payment is clear? And I'm also worried about my Clickbank account. It seems that Clickbank may may increase your allowance if you get so many fraud sales. The allowance can be even 100%!
I know it's stressful, but these types of things do happen. No system is 100% perfect. Periodic fraudulent orders are simply a part of this business. And while it's possible that ClickBank may adjust your return allowance, I've never heard anyone say they've withheld the entire thing - or anything more than what they've stated on the site. If you were receiving that many fraudulent orders, they would cancel your account before they'd continue accepting orders for you. So don't worry.
Thanks writegurl. I think it's quite reasonable to give the download link only after the payment is clear.
Hello henryzeng, Though I too got some bounced sales, they are very rare. So, I am not worried about them. However, clickbank should take steps to avoid such.
I don't rate CB very good the products are getting worse everyday. I believe that at some point there will come a time where there is nothing left worth buying and no one will get anything.
The CB should take the check bounces cases seriously, otherwise there we affiliates will face the problem with bounces.
