Did any of the USA residents here travel to Europe? What do you need to do that? What papers, permissions, etc...? My girlfriend who lives there is planning to come to Spain in a few weeks and I want to make sure she's got everything she needs. She also has a 4 year old son. Do we need anything special for that? Any input is greatly appreciated.
I went there for school and for fun. Both times I needed a passport or my birth certificate and a valid I.D.
You need a passport for the both of them I believe...but I think for the kid you can do a birth certificate. Also I suggest she hops to it right away because theres a long waiting lists for passports because of the new laws traveling to Canada and Mexico!
Thanks everyone. I appreciate it. And snapplekid13, she ordered it about 2 or 3 months ago. It should be there by the beginning of August. I hope there are no delays. Also, does anyone know a good place to buy cheap tickets? I've Googled around but I couldn't find anything under 700 Euros. (Maybe there isn't anything) Thanks again.
Air fare prices between the US and Europe are pretty stable so discounts are hard to find. Expedia prices are always good for me, and booking midweek flights is usually the cheapest.
The cheapest prices on airlines I think is Thursday from 12am to 4:30am in the timezone of where the headquarters are.
Is she Spanish or American? If she's Spanish I can't see a problem. Not that it can cause a problem if she's American.
most countries will be fine, if you are staying longer than a few months you do need some papers in some countries. Make sure she has the right health insurance stuff etc we have a European Health Insurance card here that covers us for most European countries
