Some info:
A web directory is not a search engine, and does not display lists of web pages based on keywords, instead it lists web sites by category and subcategory. The categorization is usually based on the whole web site, rather than one page or a set of keywords, and sites are often limited to inclusion in only one or two categories. Web directories often allow site owners to directly submit their site for inclusion, and have editors review submissions for fitness.

RSS directories are similar to web directories, but contain collections of RSS feeds, instead of links to web sites.

This is the fourth directory I have seen announced here today with the exact same template just a different name!

If you want users and search engines to take you seriously, you need to take the template and tweak it to make it your own! Templates are a starting point not an end all!

 

I'm asking for submissions not input.

By posting here you get both... Don't waste people's time asking them for submissions if you are not serious about your directory!

Customize your directory a bit and you will get plenty of submissions and even paid ones!

 

I am getting plenty of submission the way my directory is now.

Anyhow I'll make some edits later on, I've been trying to find a Pig to add to the logo.

 

You would get even more if you customized it and best of all you would eventualy even get people to pay you for a listing.

It's much harder to make a directory successful in Google and other search engines with an off the shelf template as you will have a lot of duplicate content penalties. By customizing your template you would no doubt achieve a higher PageRank and increased SERP results over time.

If your goals are just short term than your present approach is the right one... if you want long term results put in some work on it.
