Hi everybody... I have a question about Hosting. If , for example , I am targeting Americans audience, does it matter where I am hosting my site? Does google.com and google.ca and google.fr act the same? Thanks in advance, Guy
Lets say that twin websites get crawled by google. One is located in NY and the other is somewhere in India... Which will get higher ranking?
I got some european TLD's hosted in the USA, works fine for me. But they might rank higher if hosted in the same country as the TLD suggests.
From what I have read site hosted in India would possibly rank better in Google's India version of index than in US version. I have had no experience with this personally. Shannon
it will be interesting to hear someone with experience with this issue... I think it's important, to know where to host your site IF there is a distinction between the location of the host...
Dazzlindonna at SEO chat had site hosted in Canada as I remember. Was doing better on Google.ca than US Google to which she connected from Louisiana. You might try to find that thread. Shannon
