    Hi there,

    I have these ads appearing on my forum for homer sexual chat, which.... to be honest is nothing to do with my forum at all and visitors will get the wrong idea about the site if they keep seeing these ads. There Google adsense which currently does really well on the site and is the only forum of advertising and it makes me quite abit. The only thing is... I want to ban these Gay ads from appearing some how, is there anyway i can do this in the adsense settings or something? I'v tryd looking but i really cant find anything.

    Please help me out, any suggestions would really help me out.

    You can use the ad filter in your adsense log in.

    More specifically, click on the 'Adsense Setup' tab, and then click the 'Competitive Ad Filter' link. You need to add the URL of the offending ad to your filter list (but don't click the ad to find out the address!).

    You may find you have to be vigilant and keep adding more URL's if similar ads keep appearing.

    Good luck,

    Phlegm...

    you can also determine which part of your content google shoudl use to select the ads ...

    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->

    the content that's about the kind of ads you want ...

    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

    Do you have appropriate keywords and description in your meta tags. I find that having those, especially for homepage, helps a lot.

    This is not the way to use ad targeting section. It' not supposed to be stuffed with keywords.

    For instance, you have a page on several and broad topics, and in this page, there is one paragraph of content related to mortgage.

    If you want to increase the chance that the ads displayed are about mortgage, you use section targeting on this paragraph, then, the text analysis for contextual targeting of adsense will focus on this content and not on the other, unrelated topics.

    Stuffed keywords is so 90s now.

    You can't game google with cloaking keywords to play with google adbot. Do section targetting on post section.

    Some people have found showing less ads have increased their CPC. That's just mainly to get people to click on the first few ads that shows on a page (Those usually have the highest CPC)
