Abdul Rashid Ghazi's brother wearing burkah

Discussion in 'Politics & Religion' started by ezguy, Jul 10, 2007.

Ghazi's brother, Maulana Abdul Aziz -- the mosque's top cleric -- was captured Wednesday while trying to slip out of the Red Mosque disguised in a burqa -- the head-to-toe covering worn by some Muslim women.

It is really hilarious , people who are fighting for a islam nation are scared that they dress them selves as woman :D

Only one muslim on this board said those militiants in the Red Mosque were "sick".
I wonder why the Saudi Arabia muslims (the US long time friend) keep silent when muslim clerics promote violence in Pakistan and elsewhere.
May be pakistanies deserve to know who "educated" those clerics in the first place.

Regardless of what he was wearing; he wants sharia law to be implemented in the country. Lets give him what he wants: the punishment for murder and abduction of innocent is the death penalty in Sharia.

Seriously, religion isn't anyone's business. These muslim hardliners shouldn't be poking their nose in what / how people wear, eat, party. I am glad that the security forces killed that moron (brother of rashid) alongwith rest of the millitants. Now the question is, will musharraf take such actions against hardliners in other parts of the country too? I will vote for him if he promises to completely eradicate extremism from Pakistan.

I read that article and it said,
"In an interview with CNN's Nic Robertson last year, Ghazi expressed his disdain for Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, calling him "a dictator."

"He's an agent of the United States," Ghazi said in the September interview. "Although he says that Pakistan [is] first ... he doesn't mean it.

"He is doing all kind of ... things against the Pakistanis just to please America."

Does anyone know: Are the militants angry partially because the pakistani government has a decent relationship with the US? What is pakistan doing to please us? Why do the militants hate us so much?

Rebecca aren't you a typical ignorant American? Why don't you read the news? Sorry I called you ignorant but what do you want me to call you? Pakistan is helping in the search for Osama and getting rid of "terrorists"... The militants there don't agree with the whole process Pakistan uses.

It's just these bigots from wahabi madrassahs who are staunch supporters of talibanization. Majority of the Pakistani's hate these mullahs for their anti-establishment and radical views.

How ironic of Ghazi to say that Musharraf doesn't mean Pakistan first; it's ghazi who went against the establishment and challenged it's writ.

First of all, do you know what a Wahabi is? It's an ideology which has some issues with traditional Islamic values. Madrassas are schools. Simply the word school is translated as madrassa in Arabic. They don't have to be religious schools. I am against the radicals but also against Musharraf because of his tactics and views. He is a dictator.

As people living in the west, we are looked as educated people, so we should reflect that in our character. Educate yourself and then apply it in the public or DP. :)
