    Hi,

    I will shortly be launching an article site, I will be running Adsense, but am wondering where is a good place to find advertisers interested in banner ads and text links etc.

    An issue of course will be the 0/10 starting point of the site.

    you would probly need a record of the past monthly uniques for an advertiser to pick up a spot.

    When I launched my business I had to do the same - offer free advertising.

    Since you are just starting out, perhaps you can charge based on clickthroughs instead of impressions. At least that way, there will be less risk to the advertiser (provided no artificial clickthroughs). Another way is to simply look for affiliate programs that are relevant to your site.

    there're a few forums where you can buy/sell text link ads. The harder part is traffic building. You can make some money if your pages have decent PRs.
