Why did my SERP drop from page 2 downwards in minutes!

    Hey guys,

I was so happy this afternoon to see that my site www.urbanmonk.net was on Page 2 for the keyword Personal Development in Google. It was #12. But a few minutes later it was #13. Twenty minutes ago it's number 14. And now it's number 16!!!

How the hell does it drop so much!? And I don't know how my site got so high also, it just came out of pre-launch in late April.

It takes time for your website to have a steady ranking. That is because Google uses different databases for ranking and sometimes some of them are different. But as time goes on they all synchronize and you'll be fine...

    Dont worry.

Different google datacenters give different results in the SERPS, so if you see your site jiggle through the SERPS just watch it for a few days. most likely it will return steady on #11 asap
