Really BAD last few days

Ever since the Fourth of July, my eCPM dropped drastically.

CTR has also dropped to a very very low level. I have noticed there are almost no relevant ads anymore. To make things worse, I filtered out the few untargeted ads that I saw, and now the only ads remaining are public service ads! :(

I have a celebrity blog. Just out of curiosity, I checked a few other gossip blogs, and they seem to also have untargeted ads. Is anyone else here (who has entertainment/celebrity sites) dealing with the same problem?

Are there no more Adwords advertisers bidding on celebrity-related keywords?

I'd say give it a couple days and then see what happens. Perhaps the holiday rush is over and people are paying less for ad's at the moment.

Thanks, I guess that's the only thing I can do right now, wait until the holidays are over...

Do you think I should remove the sites I added to my competitive ad filter? Until now, I was doing just fine without filtering anything.

I just posted a similar question. I am experiencing the same thing. Although my CTR has improved, the cpm has plummeted..

My CTR is worse than ever, because the ads are not very relevant to the content.

eCPM is also extremely low, and I guess the reason for this is that most of the ads that show up lead to sites that require some sort of sign-up or purchase, so they don't convert (my visitors don't want to buy anything, they just want to look at pictures and read gossip).

Any other thoughts on this (from people who have sites in the celebrity niche)?

From what I understand, YPN only accepts publishers from the US (and I am not).

Today was a little better than the last few days. I'm just hoping it will get back to where it was, otherwise I'll have to seriously look for some alternatives.
