myDPstats - custom DigitalPoint widget

This is a custom site/script that grabs user data from here at DigitalPoint Forums and creates a widget with it. It is powered by AJAX, so it works quickly and everyone loves it

Why am I selling?
I'm moving into my dorm at Illinois State University on August 16th and I need some cash to buy the stuff for my dorm (fridge, sheets, garbage, etc...).

You can further develop and promote myDPstats and I think it could become something that people would love to use. Think about all the great developers/marketers/bloggers that visit these forums. If you can get a guy like ShoeMoney to put this widget on his blog your reputation will be huge and your profit would be too!

Thanks. For further promotion the new owner should make the image smaller and let people customize it. If they did that (which wouldn't be very hard), I think it could really do well.

Too bad this wasn't more developed, as you said more customization etc allowed for the user - I would have grabbed it

 

How hard would it be to customize the script for use on another vbulletin forum?

It's underdeveloped so that a developer can take it over and make it better. I've got a lot of projects I'm working on and I like the idea of allowing someone else to benefit off the beginning of my work and idea.

The script could easily be changed to work with another forum. It's developed so that there would only be minor changes needed.

I'm not sure on a BIN yet, but I'll post one when I've received a few more bids. Any interested buyer can tell right away that this is something the users on DP appreciate and something that could become very popular

Can you also maybe explain for those uneducated (like me) what a widget is. Is this just for wordpress? What other scripts will widgets work with. Thanks.

Hey the signature length doesn't fit in there. While getting signature using RegExps you should add the color, alignment, bold, italic, underline effects to the signature part. It'd look better.

Nice idea there btw. Quite easy to implement the way you are using it.
