Damn, just when things were looking up too!

Oh well, the "agreeable" posts are on a separate page now so I can still print and show the Mrs. ...

We could be on a good logic here Caryl. A major site (in terms of pages) of mine has been sandboxed since July 2005 and for the first time ever, i'm seeing google send traffic to it on an "on and off" basis. Based on my experience i'm also certain that it will be out of the sandbox by the end of october. I'm also enjoying top positions on a couple G! datacenters since 2 days ago.

It could most probably be co-incidence but perhaps this re-shuffling is causing some sandboxed site to rocket away a bit earlier. Hey, a nearly 1 million page site with "buy" everywhere should normally be in the sandbox for more than 4 months right? :D

google.com expires on 9-14-2011. Maybe you should try back ordering it.

I disagree with everything said thusfar.
    Can we agree to disagree?

Their cookies don't expire until 2038. I suspect that means they have plans to renew the domain...

My people have instructed me to inform your people that we cannot agree to that.

OK, I will toss out a little theory of mine...

I "feel" (don't know how to support it) that Google pre-scores pages and that information is stored/cached in a databank (perhaps a databank accessible within a C-Block of Datacenters).

When a keyword is searched, Google FIRST evaluates and locates suitable pages/results within that databank. Those are ranked and appear in the top of the results.

Then Google scans sites in the "general" web for keyword occurance and those sites located are added to the results to "fill out" the rest of the results returned.

I feel that those sites that are "sandboxed" have yet to be "Pre-scored" and thus do not appear in the top results even though they have everything required to appear in the top results.

The evidence is that many "sandboxed" sites suddenly appear in the top results, once they POP out of the "sandbox".

Also: I record, daily, the cache date for my experiment page. The cache date reported is not always progressive.

Often times the cache date is current today and tomorrow an "Old" date is reported. I have recorded several times an "Old" cache date being reported that NEVER was reported previously.

My question has always been, Are there actually two different cache dates being reported on. One being a typical cached page and the other occasionally being the cache date of a "Pre_Scored" page?

Here is an example of what I am talking about...
Notice the cache dates that are highlighted. They were not dates that were reported "at the time".

Why have I brought this up? It is because I believe Google has "Lost" some of it's "Pre-Scored" data in at least two databanks and that is what is producing these drastic (for some sites) differences on these datacenters.

Yes, this is a wild theory! But, I have seen evidence of some such thing for quite a while now.

Your wild Theory actually makes a lot more sense (and is much more thought out) then the whole SEOChat thread. They are still trying to push that it is just recips (page after page with more holes then swiss cheese)

Thanks for that Caryl (definate green on the way)

Caryl, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. What you are saying would completely fit into what I've been noticing with sandboxed sites.

This would be an uncomplicated way of implementing the "Sandbox" effect as well.

Is there anything we can do to help get us pre-scored sooner??!! I'm guessing there isn't. :(

I am seeing the same thing, by the way. A couple of my initial sites which are still in the sandbox are seeing traffic now from google. As I mentioned elsewhere though, I am never able to actual track down the datacenter with those ratings when I check (I am not investigating just looking quickly)...

Would be nice to think there would be a sandbox dump soon.
