I just found this through a Google Alert. My apologies for that - I restored a backup that I was half-way through changing over and didn't check below the fold what was happening.

That'll teach me - I just wanted to say it was unintentional.

Don't you have something better to do than run around the internet playing police officer?

Anyway, I didn't realize it was against the rules...I removed the LV code from http://www.AfterHim.com

Can I get my account reinstated Shawn?

sorry Brandon, but it;s against the TOS. It's for the good of all of us. Beleive me, this is the worst thing to do. I think 10 times when posting URL's. I am sure since you have removed LV, Shawn will take care of putting it back. But can't say for sure, I am not Shawn :). I wish I was, lol :)

Honey, first of all you should learn not to tattle-tale on people...secondly I still see no purpose for not allowing multiple advertising methods...I understand that shawn may want to have some kind of exclusivity like google thinks they should have, but that is not good for anyone except shawn or google...not good for the webmaster.

It's not just good for Shawn... it's good for everyone that uses the co-op. By having other, similar programs on your site, it devalues the weight of the links in the co-op that are displayed on your site.

Someone has to do it with all the cheaters out there...

If you don't like the term and conditions then you don't have to us the coop. I can't stand it when people get kicked out of a program (coop, adsense, etc) and then whine about how the term and conditions are so unfair and they should be able to do whatever they want. Please.

Thanks everybody, I am still policing on the web, whenever I get a chance. If I don't, I personally feel like using LV and Coop together on my websites. And since I would not like to loose my accounts for doing that, I justify myself not to do that by policing around. I know most of lv+coop users do the policing once in a while. I am just one of them.

Thanks Shawn for your quick actions, and helping users getting back their accounts when they correct the problems. Great work. We are just trying to help the system in tiny bits.

You should learn to stop blaming other people for your mistakes. You laying into honey for helping keep the network clean makes you look like an ass.

Read about the program some more and you'll figure out why. By your own admission you just found out you can't run both on the same page a day or two ago so I'm sure you haven't had to time look into the reason why yet.

Unfortuantely that is the bottom line. Some people seem to think there's no problems doing this others do it in error. Either way this can effect others, link back weight is less, encourages others to try it, I've even seem some with 'ad-network file needs updating' signifying the lack of interest in the program.

I, for one, support what Honey has done and agree totally :).

So, is there any correct way to "pause" DP Coop if you want to check out Link Vault? I assume that if I remove DP links from one of my sites and try LV for a while, I'll be able to return to DP later. this won't be a problem, right?

You could have Co-op in one directory on your site and LV in another, just make sure the URL you set for the Co-op is the directory and not the root.
