Just checked my referrer logs and saw a hit from a search on the google directory. When i clicked my link, the page could not be found....but looks like they're in the process of updating it now i think.
Well i'm pretty sure it's in the process of updating. If you visit this link you can see for yourself.
I don't see any update yet. Take a look here at the bottom. When there is an update, it won't be at the bottom anymore (page rank will change). http://www.google.com/Top/Computers...o/Audio_Formats/MP3/Software/All-In-One/?il=1
well if you follow the lnk i provided, you will see links to catagories (nintendo revolution) that don't exist right now. Which leads me to belive that something is up.
Doing a search displays sites that are not in the directory yet. As well, you can see this catagory which is not included yet. I think this is pretty strong evidence they are updating...
I see sites that have different PR in the google directory. Does this mean it is an update and gives the future value of the PR ?
The Google directory PR works differently to the toolbar PR (You may note there are no PR10s in the Google directory).
Can someone please explain what the Google directory PR is? I have only used the toolbar PR. Where is the Google directory PR? Thanks.
The google directory is for sites that are listed in DMOZ. You find your site in the google directory and next to your listing you will see a green bar. http://www.google.com/dirhp
So that explains where it can be seen, but is the PR for a site in the Google directory automatically the same as the PR for the same site in a Google search result?
Okay, thanks. I guess I wouldn't know because I submitted my site to DMOZ about 4 months ago and it still isn't listed.
