Go out there and find related sites of the niche that you are working in (Girl Advice) and find forums related to that subject. Build relationships and contact other related site owners with requests (via the forum) for some sort of link exchange. Promote the site wherever you go on the web. (signatures, postings, etc) Use your imagination and press forward and you will see results after alot of work. After you start seeing relatively decent traffic then focus on monetizing. Until then stick to adsense and watch the two or three cents trickle in. The days of $10 a day revenue are only after alot of work but do not get discouraged because it is very likely with effort.
You can monetize your blog your Google Adsense or you can promote your blog through forums with your signature and through link exchange. It is important to have a unique and fresh content to your blog.
