Before this gets blown out of proportion and I am gone for 6 months I just want to bring this up. I sold my directorynetwork this week and already transferred the site to the new owner. Sold because Im leaving and wont have time to keep up with it. Well the new owner today put a bid on www.browndwarf.com and I just want to make sure that I dont get thrown under the bus for making fake bids since he did place a bid for the top bid now. As you can see it doesnt belong to me anymore. Just wanted to get that out there before I leave and cant defend myself.
Well I would just hate to see me getting bashed while Im gone. Also Im leaving but not really. Will still have the internet just could loose it for days at a time which really sucks.
Would just like to add also the sale works out good for everyone that has links on it. I transferred the sites for him today to www.seohosting.com meaning all sites will be on different class C IPs now instead of just unique IPs.
It was a private bid but I dont think he would have a problem saying that he is the new owner. But I gave him a link to the thread so if he wants to post here that he is, then he will.
Aaron I don't think so that there is any problem for him saying that he is the new owner. May be possibility is that currently he is watching this thread Anyway thanks for letting us know of this.
Yes, folks, Aaron sold me his directory network and really worked hard to transfer the sites to me yesterday and today (3/4 July). Tonight, 4 July, I put a bid on his browndwarf bidding directory for my newly acquired directory network. I did this without first changing the links he had in the directory network footers which he had linking to his sites, which was a mistake and raised some questions. I apologize for that confusion, and should have thought it out more. I'll try to get those links changed as soon as I can. I don't think I can get them all changed tonight, though. If anyone has any questions about what went on, I'll be glad to answer them here or via pm. Aaron and everyone else, I again apologize for the confusion I caused. Aaron really did an A+ job on getting these sites to me. Thanks, Aaron. Also, I'm committed to keeping the links that were paid for as permanent, permament. Any questions or issues, give me a pm. Thanks, Mike
A bit confused, did he buy a site from you then on his bid directory added an bid for that site he bought?
Thanks, guys. I had the sense several buyers were hovering and willing to BIN, so I hopped on it. I've got the footer changed for directorynetwork.us. I'll work on getting the rest done over the next 24-48 hrs.
Aaron owned DirectoryNetwork.us and 30 other networked directories. On those 31 sites, he linked to 2 others of his, one of which was browndwarf.com, which is Aaron's bidding directory. I bought the 31 directory network and Aaron transferred them to me. I then purchased a link (the top bid) on his browndwarf bid directory pointing back to directorynetwork.us, which I now own. HOWEVER, I didn't change the footer links yet, which made it look like Aaron was bidding his own sites up on his own bid directory (a no-no). I was the source of the confusion, and Aaron was questioned for it. I now have the footer on directorynetwork.us changed to my site, and will change the others over the next couple days. Hope that clears things up. Mike
Congrats both of you guys for the sale...looks like this was one of the few ones where both sides are satisfied with the offer......
Thanks. I'm most definitely satisfied. As I said before, Aaron worked hard to make the transfer happen. He did all the work and answered all my questions. TBH, I actually felt a little guilty that I split the escrow.com fee 50/50 (and not actually pay 100% of the fee) in light of how much effort he put in. I wanted to make up for it a bit by placing a bid on browndwarf, which I think will be a strong directory and good backlink for me, so it was a bit of a no-brainer for me. Unfortunately, it never even crossed my mind that it would look like he was bidding his own sites up, which I know is a no-no. In any case, I think I got the better end of the deal (we'll see the proof in the pudding, though), but Aaron was in unique situation that demanded a quick sell, so I think he got what he wanted, too.
congrats for the sale...& have a nice trip Aaron..... we hope that new owner will not delete the existing links on directory network.
