Okay, sorry about the stupid questions, but this is a totally different game than CJ, it seems.

    1. are ringtones pretty much it? I signed up, saw a bunch of ringtone offers (and, to be fair, some dating offers), but that was about it.
    2. a lot of the offers say “search only,” or “women only” or some other bizarre “only”… what do these mean?... Search only, like if someone actually types in my very good domain name the traffic is not counted? Does this mean only SERP traffic, not PPC or direct navigation or contextual advertising traffic is accepted? And is there a way to determine the gender of my visitors?
    3. do I need to be approved for an advertiser, like I do for CJ? It seems not, since there is a link on every advertiser page I’ve seen. So, I just use that link on my site, and it will track back to my account?

(I saved the stupidest question for last).

    TIA

    1. No. There are plenty of other offers that convert way better than ringtones, ringtones are dying down, not dead, just leveling out.
    2. "search only", etc. means what it sounds like. I have never seen anything like "women only" on any of the networks I promote, naturally some offers are more targeted towards women, men, etc. due to the nature of the product or service.
    3. No. Yes.

It's not hard to get in Azoogle. Just apply and be honest about everything. Then after couple of days email their support team. They will approve you on the spot.

Is it essential to have a website before joining any of these programs? i.e. azoogle, searchcactus, etc.

After spending about week reading about all the different affiliate programs I'm quite impressed with Azoogle. About to sign up and was wondering anyone has any current advice? It does seem quite easy but just want to make sure.

    Kind Regards
