Hello all, I come seeking reviews about my Legend of Zelda site, www.zeldalegacy.net. I have recently redesigned the main site and have worked on it quite a bit. I have programmed my own CMS for the site (borrowed some third party things), though I don't use it to manage alot of the content (for SEO reasons, I have alot of pages indexed, didn't want to go through the trouble of writing 301's for everything). The news is part of the CMS, as well as an area where users can write their own theories, articles, etc much like Pixel2Life has (where I 'stole' the idea from) Aside from that, the site CMS is integrated with the VB forums. There are a few other features of the site that run off the CMS, but not many more. I am looking to get review about design, overall useability, and suggestions to improve the site (SEO wise, design flaws, etc). Anyone who reviews, I will give rep. Feel free to critique the site as well. Thanks.
Very well organized. Only problem I found was... make the main logo into a link to the home page, that way there is a link to go home instead of clicking he back button. Also, when you are in the forums "Register" is spelt wrong. Seems like you are doing very well with the site. Good job!
Thanks. @ neverstudy, I never realized I spelt that wrong, and noone has said anything either. Good idea about the image linking back home, I have Zelda News linked back home but people might not catch that.
Looks clean and professional, I like the color scheme and the page loads fast. The text of the logo at the top left could be moved over a bit, it looks like the word 'fansite' is blended in with Link.
Looks good. I like the anime header. The only thing I would probably change is the AdSense placement. I would put it maybe to the right sidebar above the Friends & Affiliate list. Or below it, depending on what's more important for you.
I think main page is overloaded with information. You should just scale back a lil and like users said above make you header a link instead of having to click back.
I agree with them. Good ad placement IMO. I also think you overflood with links, keep up the good work.
