    If it is a blogs only directory, you should remove the "Blogs" category. Otherwise you will have parallel categories for all subjects.
    e.g.
    http://weblogdirect.com/computers_and_internet/internet/
    is same as
    http://weblogdirect.com/blogs/internet/

    Alternatively, you can rename the "Blogs" category as "Blog Resources" and keep certain subcategories like "blog hosting".

    i have realized it takes too much work to verify what submitted site is a blog and what is not, since half of the sites submitted so far are not blogs, so i have changed the inclusion policy to include non-blog sites also.

    please submit more blogs, and other sites as well, keeping in mind the first post's restrictions
