Ah, well this explains the lower than normal earnings. Funny, this happened for about two weeks straight and I couldn't figure out why the page impressions looked so low with lower income. Now I know...

It seems to happen randomly, but currently they're all showing up for me.

If you block some ads, you will get blank pages for quite a while before they find something else to put on the same page. Seem to me like there is a very small pool of advertisers.
Just a guess: probably lot of publisher ran away from the YPN due to the horrible targeting.

I looked through my YPN stats for yesterday.
One of my pages which gets over 1000 hits a day only showed less than 100 impressions.
I went to the page - ZERO ads. Judging by the stats, I got ads served on this page LESS THAN 10% of the time. Bad news.

So the progression has been -
Some targeted ads ---> No targeted ads ---> NO ADS, PERIOD.
    This is so depressing.
I MUST put something else there. ANYTHING else. I have no choice.
Other pages too, of course. Bummer.

YPN has some real problems...I had emailed them about the same problem, and they wrote me back this large paragraph about the number of clicks I get. When I explained that my concern was with the number of impressions (vs. uniques and traffic that I get) was really low, they wrote back and want to see screenshots of all my stats of my sites. I am not sure whether I want to do that or not. I just wish they would fix the problem.

At least you didn't get the same usual canned response...
Being part of a beta, I would send them the stats, on the other side, knowing that nothing is gonna change, I would not.

i wouldnt give them your full stats. i would tell them i had x uniques yesterday and ypn report shows y, etc. this is an ever increasing problem along with their smartpricing. are we supposed to trust that their smartpricing solution is working perfectly when everything else is pure crap? my solution, of course, is to give them less and less of my quality traffic. i have gone from 6 figures to 5 and if they continue like this i'll push it down to 4. if i have to go down to 3, i will terminate myself from their program and wait for ask.com to release. i make so much more with cpa alternatives but ypn was always a nice addition. now, not so much. i dont mind being part of a beta. i dont mind ups and downs. but truly, ypn has abandoned the publishers and is making little to no effort to make the system any better.

I agree Kara...I am seeing significant drops in my rev over the last 9 months. I just wish they would put things back like they were a year ago. That would fix 90% of the problems that PUBLISHERS are having...where is YahooSarah when you need her? I wish that YPN would communicate something to their publishers other than "we are working on it".
