Question about gambling or pharmaceutical links from site

    I'm dreaming up an idea about links from a new website of mine and want to know what is so bad about having links from this site to a gambling or pharmaceutical site.

    I know one thing is that you will be swamped by these sites, but as I will be planning a small charge that doesn't worry me, as they will be paying!

    Any other comments will be grateful before I put the idea into full motion.

    I wouldn't touch a gambling or pharmaceutical site with a 10 foot pole.

    It's not that I'm morally against them. It's just that they lower the reputation of your site. They make it much more dodgy.

    Generally, I wouldn't touch them either ... BUT ....

    Depending on the genre of your site and seeing how those sites have a hard time getting good links - you might have a good niche. Just go "prophylactic" and host the site on a different host/ip/etc than your other sites for starters ... :D

    My site will be like a directory, BUT with a very big difference (WHICH I CAN'T SAY FOR NOW). It might be a flop but who knows.

    This scares me, as I was panning on hosting within my reseller package.....guess I best give the gambling and pharmaceutical a wide birth.

    When I get the site out in the www I'll be back asking the same question but with the idea and site available to all to advise on
