Classified Script!!(craigslist clone)

I have a classified script for sale for only $24.
This is a fully functional php classified listing script. It has a simple design but is clear and effective to the viewer. It is just like the classified section of the newspaper, just online. This website can draw huge amounts of traffic and you make money by putting ads on your website. There is a banner manager in the admin section.

This script displays classified listings. You can make any category or sub category you like. You do not need to use the ones that are there now, they are only for example. Viewers come to your site, they can search your classified listings and post their own listings for free. This can draw large amounts of traffic. You can use this site as a classified listing for the city you live in or for many cities or states or anything you like.

Nice classified script - certainly the best looking one I've found. (And it does in fact rival Craig's in how it's laid out... great job!).

Is there any way to "auto sort" sub-categories headings (if needed) as they are created? (Not the "lastest item first" postings! Those are great and what makes the script work so well - just like Craigs!)

Example: I took a quick tour as if posting an ad under Automotive & added subcategory "Jeep" and noticed the sub-category doesn't sort alphabetically in the 'master list' but was instead just plopped in after "Porsche". Sorting in the new sub-category alphabetically would be great for some categories (such as Automotive).
* - Enabling / disabling auto-sort for each category in admin area would probably be best since many categories wouldn't need this function.

Never received confirm email for my "test post" & was unable to view a test post or test admin functions for a posted classified. I am assuming that some admin functions on the demo are hidden? (Banner ads, editing ads, user admin etc.)

All in all this is the best looking classified script I've found & if it has the admin features & functions to match the appearance I'm interested as well.

Is there a way to manage ads after they have been posted? Move/edit/delete/approve etc. The frontent looks good, but the backend is pretty basic.

Thanks for your interest in the script.
I understand the auto sorting feature and it can be done.
You didnt receive the confirm email for test post because of the server email issue , but It will be fine when installed on your server.
Also , no admin function is hidden , it is shown as it is.
But I will code the Banner ads mgmt , editing ads , user admin etc if you want. It will help me to launch the next version of the script [between , user admin I already did for another buyer].

Backend work can be done if you have list of tasks to be done.
I am interested in continuously updating the script on demand

I'd just say add some more management features for ads, edit, remove, move etc. I'd say they're vital for a classifieds site.

Glad to see you're still active with this script. It really does have the appearance that I think many of us want.


I'm in for this script if a few things can be 'fixed':

Beef up the admin area in general.
Auto-sort of new sub-categories: as noted in my previous post. Admin area switch to cut on / cut off automatic sorting of listee generated sub-categories.
Ad validation: As noted in my previous post - I would want the ad listee to confirm w/ a reply to a link in an auto-generated email to ensure a valid email address instead of a spammer flooding the pages.
Ad expiration: Perhaps an auto expire for ads that don't get 'relisted' via similar auto-emails to the listee. (If they respond the ad auto-renews for a pre-determined period set up in the admin area.)

I can paste in my own ad script with includes on the pages but included onsite ad banner rotation would be nice. I can paste that in but it would be nice if it were integrated on the admin page.
In fact, allowing the site to sell banner ads to listees for their items as a bonus would likely increase seller traffic. For those of us with multiple sites it could be a great way to generate cross traffic as well. Just a thought...

I'm still very much interested & a few $ more wouldn't be a problem if it's both user & admin friendly.

here is the update.
Ads management section [to place ads on top,left,right,bottom] is done.
Post Management is being worked on.[You can define if you want each post to be approved first before being displayed or you dont want it so]. Also you can edit and delete certain post. this feature is being worked on...
then we will start on autosort feature.
I would also like to inform that if someone buys it at this time , we will provide all future updates for FREE to them.

I like your script quite a bit, however I have a question for you..

Is there any way to do multiple locations?

basically like the location feature on the actual craigslist?

If not, would it be a bad idea to have the script running in a few seperate locations on a server and connecting to seperate mysql databases? I am curios to know if that would cause any kind of problems..

also, this is programmed in php with a mysql backend, correct?
