http://www.bigall.com/ currently offer only Premium (paid) submissions.

http://www.bhanvad.com/ lets you to suggest a site, but then it says: "Your URL will NOT be visible in our directory without PAYMENT, Payment 100% require."

    http://www.seocompany.ca/directory/web-directories.html?search=bigall.com
Also your site bhanvad.com is in 1 of my lists.
    http://www.seocompany.ca/directory/web-directories.html?search=bhanvad.com

I will be doing a Press Release on this this list so this list is going to get quite a bit of action in the coming days.

My Paid are currently at 205 and my free at 371. I am working on getting another 100 sites added up to each of them.

Any one that is can know of sites that are not in my list please post them there.

I would be even willing to pay some one to go through these lists and parse out directories that are not in my 2 lists.

PM me if you are interested.

That are not my directories. They are 2 directories that I found listed in your Non-Reciprocal Free Web Directories, but don't offer free submissions.

    BTW, http://www.monkey-directory.com/ is my directory.

    Jim_Westergren:
    >>>>www.4do.org is twice on the same list.
Yes there are 3 or 4 dups in my links as I just contracted some one to add up 100 directories for me. So I am leaving them there for a bit till I go over all the new submissions.

    >>>>Will the press release be before the PR update?
PR export (it is not an update it is an export) means nothing anymore except for PR hounds that don't know better or people that sell links or directory spots based on PR. Real Pagerank is now updated, as is links, on a rolling update. The PR export to the Toolbar or Google Directory makes no different on SERPs what so ever.
Having said that I don't base anything I am doing on the timing of the PR export.

I have a professional writter writing the press release now with 3 or 4 other that I have on the go. I am guessing it will take about 30 days. I am also writing a number of articles that will be set to over 25k article sites. Both the press releases and the submissions to the article sties will give me click though traffic and better ranking.

I also have 14k banner and 70k of text link ads on skaffe.com that are pointed to the Free Directories List. As soon as I get the next batch of free and paid directories added up to my site I will be changing my banners on skaffe.

As far as traffic to these pages from rankings, I currently am ranking for "free directories" and "free web directories" #4 and #6 on Google, #6 and #4 on Yahoo, and #1 and #4 on MSN.

The http://www.seocompany.ca/directory/free-web-directories.html page is my #4 page for traffic after my PR update, home page, and SEO tools page.

My traffic is at 2k a day now and with the things that I have coming down the pike it is going to take a big jump shortly.

happen to know this list for quiet some time, needs to be updated, though. E-g. no. 50 bizunited or no. 165 habaa are either requiring payment or a reciprocal link, these are not the only ones.

    Regards

I, Brain: Thanks! I have a number of other projects in the works also. I am working on putting up about 20 to 40 of my own tools.

I am also putting up a Keyword Ranking Montior Tools which will be a free tool that will automatically record your BL, Site:, traffic (uniques, visitors, pageview), Alexa, and G/Y/M rankings for keywords.

    Here is a mock up.

Here is some more on this app on my blog.

This seems like a good place to talk about semi-automated directory submissions.

    I've had this idea that
    • site owners create an xml file of all the "sites" that they will be adding to a directory
    • when they visit a new directory they submit the xml file location
    • the directory sifts through the xml (and rejects deeplinks or subdomains depending on the rules of that directory) and displays the list with the option to pay, choose the correct category etc.
    • the user updates the info and submits.
This would make our job easier and increase the uptake for each directory. I submit for friends and clients so for each directory I can be making 11 submissions.

    11 x 371 = 4081

    shudder!

sarahk: I think the issue you will run up against is there is no category stardards amoung free directories. An "add the xml push" script would need to be coded up. Then you would be need to plug the "add the xml push" into each different directory script.

The issues would be as follows.
    1) Differnet code languages for the "add the xml push" script for each different directory script.
    2) The code that would be needed to plugin the "add the xml push" script to each differnet directory script.
    3) Each directory has a different set of categories.
    4) Getting directories to add the script to their directory.

While I think is would be an nice idea I don't think that it would be feasible.
