If that's really the case, then you can bet that the WWE's going to be cracking down on steroid use BIG TIME. Something they should (have been) do(ing) anyway.
It's worse: http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8Q0MP5G1&show_article=1 Look at the spacing of everything. That is very strange. Imagine the child being in the house, possibly being able to see his dead mom for a whole day. WWE really needs to disown this guy and forget any memorials to him, at least take his pic off their website unless anything that exonerates him comes out. This is gruesome; if this is accurate at all.
With everyone in America armed, I'm just surprised this doesn't happen more often. Still, I used to watch Benoit in WWE, so kinda weird :S
The more we know about the story the sadder it gets. He seemed very quite, well mannered and very disciplined in the ring.
from the internet: Pro wrestler Benoit kills family then himself MIAMI (Reuters) - Professional wrestling superstar Chris Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son before hanging himself from his weight machine, authorities said on Tuesday. Investigators said the murder-suicide happened over Friday and Saturday in the suburban Atlanta home where the bodies of Benoit, his wife and young son were found on Monday. Nicknamed "The Rabid Wolverine" and "The Canadian Crippler," Benoit had cancelled two events in Texas over the weekend citing an undisclosed "family emergency," his employer, World Wrestling Entertainment, said on its Web site. Benoit then sent "several curious text messages" to friends early Sunday morning and this prompted authorities to check on him and his family at their home, the statement said. Autopsy results showed that Benoit first murdered his wife, Nancy. She was bound at the feet and wrists and died of asphyxiation sometime on Friday, Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard told a news conference. She was wrapped in a towel and some blood was found under her head but Ballard said there were no other signs of a struggle. The couple's son, who also died of asphyxia, was apparently killed as he lay in bed on Saturday morning, hours before Benoit hanged himself, Ballard said. "It was the cord from the weights," he said, describing how Benoit managed to strangle himself.
I think It's been concluded... the results of autopsy is murder-suicide... the investigators released the results... its said that Benoit Killed his wife and son the day before he kill himself...
It is very sad, this is one of the reasons that steroids are so dangerous. He was a very talented wrestler but that holds nothing if in fact he killed his own family. This will never happen. Vince has been investigated several times for providing steroids to his wrestlers. In fact, Vince himself has been taking them for quite a few years. The dangers are outweighed by the fact that they want the biggest and best they can get.
Theres no proof or indication whatsoever that steroids were involved - thats just speculation and wild reporting by over-eager media outlets. In a press conference held yesterday, authorities stated that all drugs found in the house were legally prescribed and that there was nothing to suggest steroid usage. In fact the nature of the murders themselves aren't concordant with "Roid Rage" - they were apparently methodical - the binding of his wifes hands and feet, the placement of bibles next to the bodies, the timescale over which the murders took place and the messages Chris Benoit sent to co-workers on Sunday (informing them of his home address and which entrance to use) While I wish we could actually blame some wild drug-induced rampage; it seems far more sinister than that =(
Its so sad that he was a respected wrestler and he killed his wife and son, and now hes known as the scum that killed his wife and son then himself. Wwe is cutting any ties they had with him.
