How would u market a Site Like Girls Gone Wild.

Hey i was just wondering what type of marketing you would do, if u had a site like girls gone wild, i know they get promotion with there busses but how else would u promote a website like that.

 

The same way they promote it... and if you don't have the money to copy all of their techniques, copy the ones you can afford.

Bottom line: If you are trying to promote naked girls to horny guys you really can't do anything wrong. Here are a few quick suggestions:

- get hot girls to wear tight small tee-shirts with your URL
- promotional car wash with hot girls in small tight tees
- posters
- posters in the men's restroom at as many popular locations including colleges
- vinyl sticker your car (total coverage) and drive a lot or pay someone to drive a lot
- organize a beauty contest

Good events/places to promote at:
- car shows
- car stereo competitions
- car parts stores and garages
- local hang outs/parking lots
- college

You get the idea.

Screw Online... seriously.

Sounds crazy huh? The fact is that Online you will be competing with countless others and people probably won't notice you... But get a half naked hottie with a fine rack in front of a crowd of guys and they WILL remember you and be very receptive of your message.

Find a nice looking girl with a killer body (in fact find as many as you can) and pay for her(them) to walk around at car shows and events handing out promotioinal material.

PS: Make sure they can get some kind of free sample from your website (like topless pics of the girls at the car show that gave them the promo material) and they'll be sure to come visit.

My cousin started a car parts store several years ago and launched a website/magazine to promote parts sales... a few pics of hot girls go a long way with young guys. Oddly enough my cousin quit the whole thing right when the website was getting popular, go figure.

The problem is his site will be localized. I mean, he wants it on the other side of NA, what will he do? Drive town to town promoting it?

 

Not true.

This topic tends to spread. If it becomes a hit with the local college crowd of car tuner crowd you can be sure that word will spread like wild fire.

All it takes if for one of those guys to participate in a popular car tuning forum or similar and your site will start getting hits from around the world. Despite being promoted at a locat car show.

 

This might also be a good site to promote via sites like Digg and Shoutwire, but you have to put the right spin on it. Hot college girls with wet Apple T-shirts, I guess.

 

Some online promotion wouldnt hurt tho, and TV Ads would really do well, Girls Gone Wild did a bit of Late Night TV Ads

 

The trick for you and online promotions is that you will need to differentiate yourself (and cut through the clutter) of the hardcore porn sites that want to charge steep membership fees, etc. I would suggest avoidng any of the tactics and/or websites that those guys use for advertising and try to use more 'mainstream' avenues.

 

Eh, guess I'll share some of my famous, but "so simple most people dont bother to think of it" advice.

Ready? People like FREE.

Offer free memberships. Offer referral contests where they can win free XBox 360's, etc.
