Will frequent queries hurt sites?

    Hello, I have a handful of sites listed with the free search engine position checker. Will frequent queries (since my API is involved) cause Google to penalize my sites?

    I heard that Google frowns upon frequent queries and while I know WPG is a no-no, I wonder about DP since an API is used.

    FYI FWIW: In addition to using Shawn's excellent tool, I have a home-brew keyword checker that automatically runs daily on my site and categorizes the top-100 search terms - typically takes around 200 queries to do so ... and I don't think this has had any affect.

    Note that for the API, you are searching for a keyword phrase, not a domain - the "grep" for the domain isn't really "visible" to Google anyway, so I'm not sure how they would correllate back to a single domain.

    Sorry, it's not for public consumption ... but it's not all that fancy - just basically takes the list of search terms from an Analog web analysis report and then runs 'em against the Google API, and reports where they show up.
