Well with no iTrader points it will be hard to pull off. You will need to post in multiple projects are do a half and half system. For two thousand dollars, you should be able to get a lot of articles. I might know a guy but he tends to be a little paranoid toward newcomers.

From me, $2000 can get you original quality content worth 100000 words, or 200 500-word articles/blog posts/sales copies/etc. I charge $0.02/word for general/mainstream subjects, by the way.

You're going to get a lot of heartache I can tell. Travel is the #1 industry in the world and to say it's extremely competitive doesn't even do it justice. While sub-prime articles can make money in other industries, they usually don't perform too well in travel. Actually, never mind. I'm sick of trying to explain this concept. You can get a lot of sub-prime articles for your cash. This place is FULL of writers that charge 1-2 cents OR less per word. Have fun. Godspeed.

I can charge $10 for each 500+-word article since the US dollar has 80% more buying power here in the Philippines compared to the countries that actually use the US dollar as their main monetary unit. The professional writing wage rates here in my country go for $12/day for 8 hours worth of work (the minimum wage rate here in the Philippines is $8/day worth 8 hours of hard work!), and if you pay me $10/500+-word article, you get more than the quality of work being offered to local publications by professional writers here in my country. All professional writers here in my country are college-educated, degree holders, PhDs, MAs, etc. I know second language-speakers are often more technically versed in such second languages since formal education has implanted this unto them because you just need to formally educate yourself in the technical details of a second language, right? By the way, the Philippines is the third largest English-speaking nation in the world, and the culture prevalent in my country is of Western origin - yes, even today! Anyway, since I manage a team of proficient writers, I can accommodate orders worth 16 500+-word articles per day as of the time being. I could bump up production after a good number of my writers finish up with their other projects.
Like Market junction just said, you will get what you pay for. Looking for quality? Then look at 4 cents per word and above. But then either due to competition or the need to make quick money, you will find good writers working for 2 cents and above too. Okay, here's what you may get for $2000: Articles: 500 x 0.02 x 100 = $1000 (100, 500 word articles at 2 cents per word) Blog posts: 500 x 0.02 x 50 = $500 (I would calculate the blog post the same way as an article, based on the number of words.) Forum posts: I am not very familiar with this, but from what I have seen they pay around 0.10 to 0.25 per post. (at the rate of 0.15 per post, it would be $75 for 500 posts) But that is something I sincerely advice against. A forum should be advertised to get quality visitors and this sort of paid posting will only get you subquality posts and I don't think that would attract any genuine members to the forum. When joining as a forum member, we always look for quality posts. Last but not the least, if you are going the bum marketing way, you will need more articles for submission to the directories. Hello Ernest Definitely ask for samples and past clients. The larger clients will have already done their homework so that should tell you something if they have used that particular writer/company. Do your homework. Be certain that the samples are online for you to view and not sent to you. Ask which search words/phrases were targeted in these samples. If you are spending a substantial sum as you are then it's worth having a freelance editor scan the samples. Preferably use the services of a specialist SEO editor who will identify seo problems. The very reason I presume that you want this content is to get yourself indexed. It's no use having articles written that look great but in reality simply do not do the job. Not hard Most of the guys have these articles already written and sold 100 times before and in most cases, the original text is stolen and modified a little bit. Most of the articles are made by copywriters that barely know what they're writing about. The best content is your own or pay someone who has some experience and knowledge. I have a promo of $100/article and by now (after 1 month) I received only crap submissions. Copy pasted from amazon books (PDF's) that should not be indexed by SE's and so it's very hard to trace the fraud. With $2k I would find someone to write 20 good articles that would convert with healthy traffic and good P over time rather than 300 crappy articles that won't do anything over time. Anyways....it's $6. What could we expect. Always put quality over quantity (my advice).
Believe it or not, $6-10 is nothing. But I am sick to death of attempting to explain this concept to people who do not get it. If you are looking for sub-par quality, you'll get tons of articles for the amount you wish to pay.

Hey ernest1a, just spend a bit of your money trying out content writers that charge $0.02/word or lower and $0.05/word or higher. If you get what you need from one of these writers, you give him the rest of the workload. If you happen to get one who charges $0.02/word or lower and qualifies for your standards and not the writers that charge $0.05/word or higher, you obviously have the chance to save more. But if it happens the other way around, hire the $0.05+/word writer since you should make it a point to save time. By the way, if I were living in the US with a PhD, I'd charge $0.80/word. I need to do this since the daily cost of living standards in the US require me to do just so.
