    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

1000,000 impressions - 2,100 clicks = Only $65

Recently I started implementing adsense in one of my other sites/forums.
The forum is kinda big and very active, but adsense is not working so well for it.
I knew that from the start, that it will not give alot of money, but it is my new challenge to figure out how to make it work well.

I am already earning good money from adsense implemented in other sites, but I am trying to figure out why things go like this with adsense,

so this is just an example how bad things could go with adsense:

    1000,000 impressions - 2,100 clicks = Only $65

other people could earn around the $1000-$2000 from the same numbers

The main reason is the niche of the site (which is religion) and most of the displayed ads are low earnings.

I consider it as it is late to make a big difference, however I am keeping trying. But, I am making few changes and they are doubling my income, but still low! and it won't be as high as the other of my sites.

That's why I always tell the others to make a high keyword strategy before starting any website, of course it should be something you like, but you can work it out.

I am documenting everything, and if I come to a way starting earning good money from this site, I will share it with you all.

    wish me luck :)

I hear auctionads is far outperforming adsense at the moment, why dont you try that for a while and compare the income it generates

Usually adsense earnings in forums is less, better you can try other CPA networks like CJ, Clickbank etc and I am sure you can make a lot money with this traffic...

CPA affiliate networks are a good option as mentioned. There are many good ones around.

As to AuctionAds it is not performing better than Adsense for everyone. It is only performing better on the sites that are earning low earnings per click or have a very low CTR with Adsense.

There isn't an afilliate program suitable for religion related website traffic

I would go with Auctionads, keywords 'arabic bible'

    You can't earn $1000-$2000 from 2000 clicks.
Where is all the traffic coming from?

I never tried auctionads, though I have seen them in other sites.. but I will see how it will work

I didn't try any publisher program than adsense, and as I mentioned I am already making good money from other sites, that't why I am sticking with adsense... but maybe CJ and clickbank will work for this one... I will try

the problem is with the keywords, if I start blicking low earning ads, the ads with $0.05 , the site will not display any ads...

    I will try that too

yes 1 million impressions and it is low yeah...

I have read some topics here stating people earning near the $1 pr. click
and the traffic is 50% direct visits, 40% search engines and 10% misc.

The issue stood out as soon as I saw your thread's title. You have a terrible CTR (0.21%), which is probably the most prominent factor in your low earnings. Assuming a 3% CTR with your website, and clicks still at 5 cents, you would be earning $1,500 per day! Set aside the fact that these keywords are low-paying, you can still make a substantial amount based on your traffic.

    TRAFFIC = MONEY

You already have the traffic, now let us help you increase your CTR (click-through-rate) and maybe you can take us for a ride on your yacht someday! :)

Run a traffic estimator keyword report using Adwords and adjust your keywords, within text, header tags titles and descriptions to focus on higher keywords.

Next, move on to your ad placement. Your CTR is basically, terrible, so bump this up even to %3 is not difficult at all. The blue ads at the top are useless. No one will look there. Ads have to be within the content area, preferably above the fold. I suggest adding a large rectangle ad immediately underneath the text at the end of this reply. This should bump CTR up by about 5 times at least, if you keep the same blending as the rest of your site. Bumping up 5 times should then earn you $200 minimum and with better keyword focus potentially a lot more. Hope this helps, and it would be great to hear how your CTR changes with such changes.

Ad google ads below this text in a rectangle square.

Read my post thoroughly; increasing CTR was what I emphasized. Once you have the traffic, the outstanding task is bettering and experimenting your placement, which is far easier in my opinion. Given that he already has in excess of a million impressions, altering the placements so as to derive the highest earnings shouldn't take long.
