Hello all, my ad's quality index in YSM has dropped from 4 to 2 now. Just wondering why and how to improve it. Can anybody give me some insights and suggestions? Thanks!

My advice is just for you to play by the rules. Make sure you check that the keywords match, the website is optimized right for the keywords, use negative keywords etc. Hope this helps.

I was told by Yahoo! that when your competitor's ads change, your qs may be affected, depending on whether your ad is better or worse than your competitor's updated ads. i'm beginning to think a more granular approach to ad writing (i.e. don't saturate ads with hundreds of keywords) may be the ticket to optimizing your quality scores. good luck.

    Hi there “articlebazar,”

Thanks for your question how to improve your Quality Index score?

To help improve your quality index, focus on making your ads as compelling as possible so that users will be more likely to click on them, thereby possibly increasing click-through rate. Keep the ad very relevant to the keyword and landing page. Also, be sure to include your keyword in the title and description of your ad. Consider using the Insert Keyword feature to help you do that automatically.

We’ve posted some helpful articles on improving quality index on our Yahoo! Search Marketing blog:
