So, I am watching my Yahoos rankings and it is near daily jumping all over the place -

Is anyone else experiencing VERY eradict and near-daily changes for your keywords in the Yahoo SERPS? I know they had an update a few weeks ago but things should have settled down by now --

anyone else smelling the end of Yahoo?

Please let me know if you guys are experiencing similiar results

I've noticed the same thing, but most of my sites that are ranked #1 in Yahoo for their keywords are staying there.

I think Yahoo is tweaking their own algorithm. I don't see the end of Yahoo anywhere in the future.

But their algo/rankings shift almost daily - so nothing is at least semi solid -- i notice google updates once a month - and does some slight tweaks mid month - but yahoo is out of control. I have presented rankings one day that made our site look terrible only for the next day they look golden ---

They're not going crazy, they're just being updated. Let's not forget that there are many data centers, many sets of results, and we could all be accessing things at random.

If you're ultimately concerned with what they are and are not doing -- it would pay to review the Y! Search Blog at http://www.ysearchblog.com/

There, you can confirm that on June 6th, an update began. They're pretty good about disclosing their update information.

Finally -- consider too that what looks like erratic results in one keyword market may really deliver the best in the majority of markets. I'm not saying that's the best way to approach things -- but if that is how their newest algo responds, it is what is.

I am very happy with Yahoo's latest update! :)

but yes, I notice one of my sites jumping around between 6th-9th position on page one for a major key word, but I am still not complaining as long as it at least stays on page 1.

Yes noticed some differences in some search results - yahoo sometimes highlighting the whole url, even if no keyword in it - but not always. Otherwise my results has always been very stable on Yahoo. White hat SEO works well. Only times when results are jumping around - notice the amount of SERPS - Yahoo re-indexes frequently - in particular I tend to see huge differences during weekends in number of results displayed. The good thing is also that you get indexed very quickly in yahoo if all is fine with your site. I have always returned to my spot when indexing over. A very good search engine if not the best in my opinion.

I seem to have found this problem, but I noticed this first months ago, basically using a 301 redirect to www. only, I see that when i do a search the non www comes up - but in yahoo explorer only pages with www. are listed - Seems like some problem - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=384393

Yahoo is changing their algos... this is actually a good thing. If they are changing their algos, that means that their SERPs will change for the better and there will be more ways to drive traffic from Yahoo!

Just build your links and build up your profiles in Yahoo! in order to drive traffic to your site. These new changes should have an unbelievable impact on our sites. I'm hoping it is for the better, I also hope that good sites such as all of ours aren't removed by being flagged as SPAM. I hate it when that happens to sites.

for me - i have noticed that yahoo (uk) appears to update every 10 - 20 days

i do see a lot of jumping around, but after a day or so, the rankings settle

but my rankings in yahoo are always improving
