    Hello friends,

    My life in past months have been quite hectic. I had to run accross the biggest hospitals in the country for my fathers treatment who finally expired in Apollo Hospitals Delhi. In the course of time i had read a whole lot of literature on health, interacted with so many doctors and met relatives of patients with different kind of diseases in hospitals, and learnt what mistakes they made and also what mistake i made. I had learnt a lot of lessons. I want to share them with everyone.

    Some precautions to be taken regarding your health (for everyone):

    1. If you are suffering from some serious illness like Hypertension ( Blood Pressure ), Diabetes or Chronic Kidney Disease, heart Diesease then keep yourself away from Ayurvedic, Homeopathic and Unani system of medicines. They are meant for small term illness and are not well in curing critical and long term diseases. You may fall into serious trouble if you skip this advice.

    2. Never consider a small symptom as small (My fathers complications started with a series of vomiting which he neglected). Small symptoms such as fever, vomiting etc are sometimes early warning signs of serious complications.

    3. These are days when a large majority of population suffers from Hypertension ( Blood Pressure ), Diabetes or Chronic Kidney Disease, Heart Problems etc. The root cause of this problems is Stress, Overweight. Drinking etc. Try to keep away from these things because once you fall into the trap, it is too difficult to come out of it. Patient of such diseases like Blood Pressure, Diabetes are bound to take medicines for life and they are never in a healthy state.

    4. Never have a illusion that you are healthy, however fit you are. Always go for a health checkup under some specialist. Certain sickness cant be seen from outside, you will come to know about it only when you are about to die and there is no way out.

    5. Two doctors with same degree offcourse study same books and same syllabus, but experience is a thing which matters a lot. So always get consultancy under a expert physician.

    6. Remember health is wealth so never hesitate to spend money to keep yourselves healthy.

    7. It is good to be courageous but not in matters of health. Learn to fear. Bad Health is the worst thing in life.

    CONTROL YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE
    ===========================
    Get your blood pressure checked regularly, (even you are a young guy) because blood pressure known as Hypertension is something which can damage your kidney, heart and brain. So it is not a small thing. Now a days blood pressure is even seen in people of too young age like 20 - 25.

    If you have your BP above 120/70, its time to worry.

    If it is above 150 then chances are there that it might be continuing from a lot of time, so get your kidneys, heart and brain checked to make sure that the prolonged hypertension has not yet affected any areas of your body. If it has done then start taking treatment under your physician.

    If it has not yet caused any damage to your body, it may cause in future, hence control the blood pressure now. But how to control blood pressure.

    Main causes of blood pressure are -
    1. Mental Stress
    2. Family history (genetic cause)
    3. Over weight
    4. Smoking
    5. Drinking

    So first thing you should do is try all possible ways to stop Smoking and Driking
    Second, Reduce your weight to normal. Roughly you must not be more than 60 Kgs if you are under 50.
    Third, Reduce amount of salt intake in food.

    SOME GENERAL ADVICE FOR EVERYONE
    ================================

    1. When some one suffers a accident, serious illness and dies suddenly, it is not he who suffers, but his family members and close ones are the ones who suffer the loss.

    2. A Critical Care Health Insurance with cashless hospitalisation facility is must for everyone, even if you have property of millions. Generally even if you are rich, you may have kept your money in real estate, stocks, mutual funds, bonds, debentures etc and when you get hospitalised under a serious accident or some condition, your family may face problem in arranging finances. If you have a health insurance, all hospital bills will be cleared directly from the insurance company and your family will face less problems. (ICICI Lombard is great)

    3. A Life insurance scheme is a must have thing and never compromise with it.

    4. Always inform your close ones about your insurance policies.

    5. Always keep your closed ones informed about your property distribution, where you have kept the money (bank account etc.) so that they dont have to run here and there when you die (everyone has to die). Best way of doing this is to write all details in a diary and keep it same somewhere so that it could be found later by your legal heirs.

    6. Always think what will happen if you die tomorrow.

    regards

    Hmmm... i just got a beautiful gift

    [IMG]

    Anyways. Homeopathy and Ayurveda is what you advocate to be powerful methods. I am sure if your close one suffers a Heart Attack or A serious Accident with multiple fractures and injuries , or Complete Kidney Failure, you will never go to ayurveda. They are good for light cold, fever, or indigestion kind of temporary problems which can be cured of hajmola lol :p and never meant for critical cases. Such conditions need very advanced medical techniques and procedures etc. You advocate of what certain inexperienced people talk about. Ask a ayurveda or homeopathy doctor whether he can save a premature born baby without a incubator, can he ? What if someones kidney has failed, he need to be kept on continuous dialysis (which requires a sophisticated machine) or he will die within a day due to fluid retention, can a ayurveda doctor save him ? No he cant. What if someone's lungs failed, he wont be able to breathe, he cant be saved unless he is immediately connected to a artificial ventilator? Certain conditions need advanced life saving procedures.

    Thanks for the red
