Most join the army because they don't understand what they are doing or are desperate to get a job. I know of soldiers who were sorry they went to Iraq, or signed contract because they were misled into believing they wouldn't be in active duty. Doesn't have much to do with bravery

These "radicals" don't even come close to killing as many people as the military has

 

Atheism isn't a religion nor do they bomb & behead people daily.

 

when war broke out my brother who is in the British army was on excercise only hundreds of miles from Iraqi waters - so yes I had an opinion then, the british army got involved in the war because our government had claimed that Iraq had illegal weapons ready to use within an hour, as it turned out one of our governements advisors had actually asked for the situation to be exaggerated to get the support of the british public, but as I didn't know that at the time, I supported the war then, you don't leave something half done, so I support it now too.

Both Bush and Hussein are atheists. I would imagine most if not all soldiers that go to Iraq are atheists. Iraqis are not very religious either, at least comparing to other Middle East nations. Doesn't look like a Christians vs. Muslims war to me

I think he means that people who govern over a secular society are atheists. Otherwise, you couldn't conjure up a more mis-informed statement as to the religion of everyone involved.
