Hooray! Hopefully Yahoo can get back on track now and go back to their roots that once made them a great company.

I agree.. I think one of the worst decisions out there was that who SBC/Yahoo thing... Next thing you know we will be seeing the Yahoo web site saying something like, "Yahoo is now the New AT&T".

I still map every trip I take with Yahoo... You cannot beat it for accuracy... MapQuest cannot tell their left from their right, literally.

Really I think the downfall of Yahoo started around 2003. That is when the whole chat system started imploding (and they put the final straw on the camel's back in 2005), and that was the only reason a lot of users visited yahoo.

Funny how people automatically assume it's a man. It is interesting though that two of the big Internet companies (eBay and now Yahoo) have women in charge. I'm not anti-woman/man or anything - just making conversation.

According to what I read on CNN earlier today, yes. You can read it here.

"Co-founder Jerry Yang is replacing Semel."

I wonder if the original CEO of Yahoo returning will be like Apple's original CEO returning (Steve Jobs) as great as they are doing.

There is a lot of question being asked about Yang taking over as CEO.

Yahoo wasted 10's if not hundred's of millions on this guy in stock options. Just because he might have had success in another industry does not mean he would do the same in the internet field. He just did not have a clue.

IMO... although the yahoo serp is hard to concure.
it still does have its strenght.

and seeing google at 3rd ranking.

a good job from yahoo as well.
