    A technique I've used in the past is www.xxx.com/keyword1/keyword2.html and this seems to work quite well.

    Of-course, www.keyword1.com/keyword2/keyword3.html would no doubt be better still, but good relevant domain names are becoming harder to find.

    i think you must choose the first option. i dont prefer having index .html or index.htm in urls

    i got for /keyword/keyword-keyword.php etc. where keyword-keyword could be one phrase just seperate them by hypens.

    The best choice will be www.xxx.com/page/pagename.htm where "page" is the first part of your keyword, example if you want to rank for funny videos the url will be www.xxx.com/funny/funnyvideos.htm, from my experience this work very good with MSN and Google. and it also looks more natural and serps friendly because "funny" is the main category and "funny videos" is the sub category + apparently having a part of the keyword twice in the url can help with the ranking.
