Hey, What do you all think is the best way to market a picture rating site / dating site / community with a $100 budget? What would the break down be? I have already done a few link exchanges and directories. THanks, take care.
Do you have anything or anyone on there currently? I would start where you live. No one wants to date someone across the country. Flyers, sponsored bar evenings, etc. Get the word out and let people know what you site is all about. Get people excited
It is a tough niche to break into because all the dating sites popping up. I tried it for a year sunk in about $250 and all I got was about 75 free members and most of them just wanted to post pictures of their privates for swinging. Find some really good and picky dating related directories and invest in a few good links. Otherwise do as much free as possible. If you buy one or two featured links in a good dating directory will give you some traffic.
I would attract visitors with good dating tips/advice/content then drive traffic to the content with a mixture of social bookmarking plus a couple of paid links might not hurt..
I really appreciate all your ideas! Thank you I should of mentioned, its more of a Picture rating site, like hotornot - I have 1600 members already. So, might look at advertising from a different angle than what I would if it was JUST a dating site. Thanks
maybe try to spend on script to make your site stronger. tryt o create any script that can make the member join and easier to find partner. that would draw more traffic as well.
