    I made a site that got to number 10 in Google serp after 24 hours from publishing it. The site is highly optimized of course and I gave it a PR6 link (from an unrelated site) and a few other links. It easy to rank for the term, only about 100000 results in Google, but 24 hours was extremely quick. Normally it takes at least 5-7 days to get this sites to rank.
    Have you experienced the same ? And if, why did this happen to you?

    having a link from a pr6 site would help... they would get crawled many times a day so google came across your site quicker therefore indexing quicker

    It depends on the term and competition.. a search for the keyword might return 100000 results in Google, but probably a very low number of sites are actually optimized for the keyword...

    Yes.
    I expected it to rank and I expect it to go to 2-3 place in Google. But its the speed of ranking that puzzles me. I will build a few links to this site now and then and follow it closely to see if there are a Google sandbox that it get into.
