Off Theme Links Ala Spam

When do you think google will get smart to off theme links? Or will they ever? I am noticing many of the niches I am in, is spammed with directories of nothing but thousands of pages of adwords. These spammers or creating tons of backlinks to sites on other domains.

I am finding sites which are ranking well with nothing but links from off themed sites.

You think google will get smart to this in the next algorithm?

I think that they will try do deal with it. But after their "improvement" everybody who do it will think out somethink else to go higher in their rankings. There is no perfect algorithms at all.

i wouldn't be surprised if when G finally updates it introduces something along the lines of TSPR or local rank (if it hasn't done already) maybe it is why there is this delay in the update of normal PR.

if they were going to introduce a new PR system such as TSPR - would they announce it beforehand or would they just realease it without warning? - and would their IPO have any effect on such things do you think?

Of course they wouldn't announce it, they might have to patent it though ;) - They would LOVE to keep up all guessing...

Saywhat? are you saying that you are seeing Adwords being listed as search results??

So far as I know Google has never taken theme into account in links.

Could you give me an example? or do you simply mean that pages with adwords showing on the page are ranking well?

    Hello Seo’s Of the World,

What I am saying is spammers are creating directory scripts with thousands of pages of spam. No real content no real directory just gibberish. These sites rank well because of there sheer size and linking structures.

They also have adwords listed on these spam infused pages. Adwords have nothing to do with the serps as for as I know. What makes me MAD is they are generating revenue from spam pages.

OK I see what you are saying now, and the only remedy is to outrank them. It is not impossible or even all that hard. Small sites can rank very well too.

I have a site with 57 pages which has never purchased or exchanged a link but it still ranks well for compeitive terms.
