50k visitors in a day, almost every day! - Here's how...

    Hello there,

I wasn't sure which forum to post this in, so marketing made the most sense to me.

Basically, what I'm going to do today for all you Digital Point members, is to share one of my biggest secrets. This secret is what I earnt the majority of my income through until recently when I diversified. You know what they say, don't put all your eggs in one basket!

Creating a niche site is simple. Think of something you are interested in. I thought of football for example, or 'Soccer' for the rest of you.

I'd always enjoyed football, playing it, watching it, reading about it, I guess you could really say am football mad. So basically, it made sense to create a football site.

I decided to write news on football each day, with a simple blogspot blog, so I wasn't paying anything here. Brilliant!

It's always hard to advertise a site, especially a little blog. BUT, I ran into a service which literally changed my life. NewsNow is the name.

NewsNow is a site that aggregates news articles from RSS feeds all over the internet. You have to apply to get into NewsNow though. However, if your content meets their guidelines, which are the sort of guidelines you would expect.. orginal content, good spelling and grammar etc, then you get put on their site.

Since having my news published on their website, I've been getting about 50k visitors to my website every day. Just depends on how much news I want to write.

Well, there's my first little tip for you all, I'll be writing another article soon, maybe try and make a little series of posts on niche marketing.

If you want to subscribe to my free newsletter though, check the sig :)

    Cheers and good day!

You can find the blog at.. www.talkingsoccer.blogspot.com

As you can see, the content is original and provides the users with some quality as they get all the latest news/rumours on a constant basis.

Adsense depends on traffic and traffic depends on popularity and amount of articles ;)

I'm not so sure. Hard to imagine that a pr three site, which describes itself as (basically) under contruction, is really bringing him any traffic at all.

    ---EDIT----

Correction: my mistake, thought you were referring to the .com, a little more research suggests you are talking about the co.uk site......... sorry.

I can see it. Knowing football fans, sometimes they are more interested in rumors of transfers than actual transfers.

Can this be replicated with other niche topics? Also, ids the 50,000 a day a regular ocurrance or a one-off?

I wouldn't say it's a regular occurance but I wouldn't say it's a one off, as you can see from the alexa stats.

Obviously it's transfer time in the world of football so it's a busy time.

I'd say it can be replicated for other niche's yes.

Please note that I'm not suggesting anyone try and spam the site. Remember, you will only get accepted if you provide quality content. Something that is of value to them and more importantly, their readers.
