    You can make sure whether it is crawlers or not by checking logs.(browser agent) ... Am I correct?

    That is some hell of a ranking....3000 different search terms on page 1 for each term, what industry or topic is that site in?? And who did the on-page optimization?

    I'd be interested in seeing some proof, I can believe he ranks for 3000 different search term, but ranking on the first page for all 3000 search terms sounds absurd....just like calling googlebots GOOGLE ENGINEERS

    Yeah i do, i've had a number of sites that rank page 1 for 1,000's of search terms and get similar traffic.

    Not all terms bring a stampede of traffic even with 50 Million odd results. Actually one site i have now was found via 1,983 different search terms with just 3,486 unique visitors for the month of May.

    I too believe that it is the crawlers and it is not surprising that it stays for hours to monitor the site. I have crawlers stay 2 hours or so.
