A Guide To Making Money With A Video Blog

Okay, I started a video blog a week and a half ago using this guide. After a slow start I hit two days this past weekend with 34 and 29 visitors respectively. However it immediately dropped off to an average of 11. What happened?

I have submitted videos to youtube and metacafe plus done stumbleexchange and directory submissions. I expected visitors to increase steadily as I followed the guide pretty closely. I know I can't expect it to be the magic formula yet I'm having trouble grabbing the traffic. Any thoughts?

 

I think you're definitely supposed to get more than 30 visitors.

Is there a script to post video from youtube, dailymotion, metacafe....

where more than one user can post?

I did this idea with wordpress but no time to post every day

thinking of script that is multiuser, any ideas

if you keep updating the site with new good videos
ive been targetting bloggers the last few weeks and have gotten a few good links from blog posts on good blogs.

averaging about 1200 unique visits per day now and only have 1 google ad to try keep the site looking clean and worthy of reading

earlier in the thread i mentioned rss submission, i am still getting a good flow of traffic from the rss directories and search engines and am sure its giving some value to towards keyword placement in the serps having my feed displayed on these sites. (all of the rss directories and search engines have a humor or a comedy category)

google sends over 90% of the search engine traffic with blog posts being indexed for some good keywords, msn and yahoo arnt sure on my blog yet

 

What programs do you guys use to add the image at the beginning and at the end to the video?

 

I use http://www.videocharge.com/ for editing and tubehunter.com for downloading videos.

 

If it didn't work, I'd be selling the info in a $100 e-book instead of putting it up for free

Also, DP follows sig links, no need to stick em in post.

I've tried it and found out using metacafe to advertise is excellent. Google also seems to pick up the video post quite fast. The only problem is the vistors are not so stable.

Anyway, just out of curosity how many videos do you guys add on your blog now?

 

Generally 2 per day works well now I have an audience.

Hi everyone, I am a new poster here so I hope my question doesn't sound too idiotic...

I have read this thread carefully, but there is something I'd like to clear up.. if you are using Youtube isn't there a danger that YOutube users will simply watch your videos on Youtube without bothering to visit your blogsite? Just because you edit a video and put in a statement saying 'For more great videos like this go to xxx', doesnt mean they'll go.

What if you set up a Youtube channel and get a whole bunch of subscribers...does YOutube regulations prevent you from spamming the subscribers encouraging them to go directly to your site and suscribe to your RSS feed rather than just waiting to watch your latest videos on YOutube?

What other creative means can you use to entice people to go to your blogsite from Youtube? Any ideas?
