How to know whether a domain can be a good parked domain...how to use them and how good are they? Please answer
The best thing to do is see if a domain has a good history. Check the past/current pagerank, number of backlinks, and another good option is to have a look at the wayback engine archive. Parking a domain is all based on "natural" traffic coming to it, such as search traffic and direct type in traffic. You are not supposed to market a parked domain, so once parked, it usually is depending on the type in and search traffic it gets. If you have a lot of backlinks and good name in which you think ppl will just type in the browser, it should be ok. Most ppl into domaining, (such as I am) usually have a lot of domains in their portfolio in order to get good parked traffic revenue. In my case (I currently have 350 + parked which I have been collecting since the late 90's) some are just meant to be parked until they sell, and or developed. If you only have one domain, your chances are slim to making any real money. A lot of my names may make only $0.20 - $1.00 per day or week. The way you make money is by producing hundreds of quality domains to make that and times it by hundreds per month. A good park program is sedo, there are others too. Just look for one that you can optimize the page. I like sedo because you can choose the template, colors, images, and keywords. Better keywords, such as the same with adsense, means more revenue per click for you. Hope this info helps.. Regards, WebWizard
