My phpld directory www.eeyk.com has been working fine for a long time. the other day I tried to login to my admin panel as usual. after i type my username and password, a blank page appears, it won't show the page source. Any idea what could've happened? Any thoughts on what i can do? If I download the directory files off my server as a backup, could I try copying new files over, such as the entire admin directory? thanks guys.
Any chance you are using Godaddy as your host? I had the same problem a few months ago with a small directory hosted there. There are a few threads on the phpld forum about this, I don't think there was ever a resolution (but I haven't checked in a few months). The problem is on godaddy's end. My final solution was to move the site to a different host.
yes, i am using godaddy. Thanks for this bit of info, at least now I know what to search for when looking for solutions.
Yeah, you might want to switch (as soon as possible too). from the threads on the phpld forum it seemed that a lot of folks were getting the run around from godaddy support. Once I saw that I switched (we have a bunch of accounts so it wasn't a big deal to switch) the site. I recommend you do a search on http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/ to see if there was ever a resolution. In the mean time, I *THINK* I was able to get into the admin panel by doing the following: Go to log in screen, enter log in info. Get the blank page (let it try to load for a while, if I remember correctly it would just load and load). Then directly enter www.yourdomain.com/admin/index.php This worked, but the lag was terrible. But it may be worth a shot if you need to get in there. Good luck! Morty
nice job jmort732 on the info..you may want to look for another host maybe.GD is good for registra, but nothing else IMHO
I agree 100%, as a registrar I really like them, and their customer service is top notch. As far as the hosting, this site was a trial for godaddy, and they failed. We try to spread our directories around among different IP's so we are always trying out new ISPs. Morty
i seem to have things working. found a workaround for the problem, had to use a new index.php file, then a little tweaking of their code here's a link to the fix should anyone else have this problem http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11719 thanks again for your help jmort
