The Three Most Effective SEO techniques

What is your opinion as of the 11th of june 2007

I currently believe the following

1: Inbound links with good anchor text are very very important for google especially.
2: Search enginer friendly URL's rank a close second
3: Internal Linking structure i think is one of the most important

Whats your top 3

or top 5 if you like and what have you got to support your findings

 

Page title.
Pagerank of linking pages (incoming links).
Having lots of deeplinks.
Having links from within content...and not footers/link pages.
Anchor used in incoming links.

 

I am gonna have to disagree here with the pagerank comment

Pagerank does not affect your search engine position as far as i am aware. it will pass your PR on to others who you link to but what difference does this make to your SERPS ?

1 inbound links (quality of the links in Google)
2 page title
3 page content
4 page rank (Google only)
5 Internal link structure

Need I go on ??

 

The top 2 most important factors IMO:

1. Incoming links
2. Content

 

I agree with KC Tan. I'm so tired of 'page rank' (in all its forms), that I could just puke.

Focus on the inbounds, AND the content.

Everything else is just to make things a bit more tidy.

 

As for the page, Use <h1>, <h2>, etc... for headings and such instead of <b> or a larger font size.

Qualitative and not Quantitative link Exchange
Using Right and Niche Keywords
Writing Articles and Submitting them

 

Article marketing would have to be my prime form of link building and in turn SEO

But with article marketing you have to choose the right keywords

And your site needs content

 

1. Experience (Trends are important to know what will happen in the future)
2. Sitemap
3. URLs
4. Content
5. Inbound Links
6. Titles

I find it sad that no one actually has content first.

 

For me the most important that should consider, was well optimized keywords in content, title, URL and in alt tags. Good combination of anchor text and backlinks from related sites.

plus content can only get you too far

you need to get people to actually get to the site
