I use a combination of both. No two sites are alike. Page structure and color combination may require experimentation to get the best results. In other words, there's no right or wrong. The best is what works for you.

Isn't that the whole point of adsense? To have enough content to make a visitor curious but not as much as he needs, an ad next to that content to trick the visitor to explore more and find out his answer. Otherways, why would one click on the ads?

I have not had a chance to really experiment with this. I have pretty much given up on my current site and am devoting all my time to a new project.

    I'm using IE 7.0.5730.11

Have you viewed your source code lately?
You have a WAY TOO MANY ad codes in there....25 plus or more.

Blending produces more clicks, but I'm not sure that is optimal.

I'm wondering if I'm getting too many clicks on one website and after the last redesign I think I'm being smartpriced to almost nothing. I'm thinking of making the ads more obvious or perhaps eliminating one ad block. Any idea how long smartpricing will take to adjust?

Yeah, that happens when you copy and paste, accidently copy the ad code too. Looking at the code when copying let's you know what you got.

The layout is still broken for me. The leaderboard ad is wider than the area you're putting it in. Thus making that area to wide to fit along side the left column, so it's pushing the middle area down below.

If you don't want to reduce the ad size...something needs to be bigger.

If interested I'll give some ideas.

i think it simply depends on the website itself. in some instances blended is better and in other it's not.

I have been experimenting with CTR for a long time. I came to a conclusion that blending the ads is the best way to place ur ads.

Blending is better for all websites.
Non-blending your least paying ad, to encourage clicks on higher paying ads, might be a good way to use non-blending.
Sometimes the more the merrier doesn't make good Ad sense.
