What's the most influential scam you've experienced? (online or off)

For me, it's called Google.com lol

 

Is this a joke? Google puts food on my table. And I'm not talking about Adsense here

 

Google has been good to me. What has google done to you?

 

Well ladies and gentlemen this one is an intresting one i got scammed the scam that fooled me is called sell a rent car. What they do is hire a rent car place ad in the paper for an extremly good price so you want it you go to the house there is one women my husbands not back yet i have not got the pappers yet i have 6 more views coming latter can you leave a deposit for the car? pause here for a second this women is very nice looking so i said ok put £200 deposit on the car she said ok come back latter when my husbands back i did the car was gone and 5 other people who had also put a deposit down for the same car.

The actal worst scam i heard of online on crime watch here in the uk a few weeks back a guy buys a car online at ebay.com takes like £3000 cash to meet iraqy sellers they beat the guy up broke his jaw 6 times is ear came off during the beating and they took is eye out for £3000 proves they should be on there home soil where the bombs are landing and in pain instead of inflecting pain on the hard working english man of is country. I am not racist its just it makes my stomac turn to see that people who take salvage in our country hurt our people!

Scammed for 110$ by a user here on dp.

He was a coder, i payed upfront, after 1 month he stopped answering me, that was when i waited a month with no delivery.
When i tried to inform people here no one listened and around 7 more people got scammed by him again.

Hes banned atm, but he'll be back in a few months to scam more.

 

There was this guy that got scammed for $500000 by Nigerian email scammers. He went to South Africa to check them out and got killed.

 

scammed $200 by a user of DP, and a close relative of mine (of which i am guiltily partly involved) got scammed $1000 in a HYIP.

 

I lost around $100 in egold HYIP scams.

 

I designed and coded a template for someone. He was going to pay me $80 for it but never came online after i sent him the files .

 

no scams yet! atleast online, i have got no scams!
the only scam was from the BSNL when i was forced to pay for someone else's bills! most certainly the bsnl staff called people arround the globe through my phone,,

 

Google aint a Scam .LOL.

 

Too many to mention here. 60% of which happened here on DP UNFORTUNATELY

 

Well i didnt experience it yet.But i think these kind of threads are helpful to get away from scammers.

most scam i get is through DP , people sometime remove mylinks after i paid 1 year link.

 

I think biggest scam that I heard is Pyramiding scam.
