Does it matter what order the meta tags go in, right now i have keywords then description should i have it the other way around and place description before keywords?

Order of keyword and description tags does not matter in SEO

Honestly I don't even include any meta tags except title. I would rather have the spider scan my content and then determine what it is about and rank accordingly.

You are better off including Meta Description, otherwise Google will grab random content off your page to display in the index. In the SERPs you could end up with:

    Site Title
Home Contact About Us Click to Submit Copyright 2007
    www.domain.com

Wouldn't you rather an attractive summary or "Sales Pitch" that entices a user to click yours instead of the other 10 on the page?

Google does that whether you have one or not. If done properly, the description meta adds emphasis to what Google finds in the content.

It does not matter, meta keywords and description can be placed anywhere as long as they are inside the <head> tag

on the past,, i usually placed first the description before the keyword tag.. its because for the prominence of the page... but for now,, it really doesn't matter which of the 2 is placed first...

    Order does not matter.

But make sure to have kick ass meta description so if google uses it the SERPS then people will click on it over higher ranked sites with crap descriptions.
