Duplicate Content Different websites

    Say I have 5 different websites. Green apple,s Yellow apples, Red Apples, Purple apples etc.

    If I use the same content for each website and just change the name, would that fall into the dupe content category ?

    Probably will be seen as dupe. Think about how easy it is to find and replace. Google is far too advanced to not red flag your site. The first site will likely be indexed and the other will not or end up in the sups. Well written, interesting, unique content will get you the traffic and rankings you desire so says the Kontent King.

    Replacing one word throughout the page content will not get past the dupe content filter. I would think the major engines have that tactic on lockdown as it would be WAY to easy to generate content to get past the filters.
