    1. Update the site exclusion list with the known low cost adverts (http://www.adsblacklist.com/index.php)

    2. If possible, change your blog or site to a better paid keyword niche (but ideally less popular - it's a fine line)

    3. Try Yahoo! Publisher Network if you can.

Yeah, myspace types sites generate a lot of traffic, but it doesn't convert well for many advertisers. Your best bet is to contact other websites directly that may be interested in advertising on your site and have them pay you with pay pal.

Adsense trys to show the highest earning ads on your site, so get rid of the adsblacklist adverts and you may start seeing $0 per click ads, lol.

It could be that you are actually getting some higher paid ads just that your average earings per click is $0.01 because your could be getting alot of invalid clicks. They still count invalid clicks, but assign a $0 to that click as far as I know.

You can try to change your keywords but that wouldn't be easy.
There is little you can do, use the competitive filter to ban at least some of the low paying sites.

Blocking urls or using the adsblacklist thing will not do anything apart from you could block the ads that you think are likely to get less clickthrus. Don't forget that Google Adsense was not built in a day. It is run by Google which is a large corporation that is here to make as much money as they can so I don't think they would have not done the tweaking of their ranking system incorrectly when showing the best and highest paid ads first.

you did NOT really give information that allows anything more but guessing and speculations.

reason for low CTR/eCPM can be manifold

    * too many ad slots - more than good advertisers
    * wrong formats - any other than one of the 3 (three) Google-published successful formats may reduce your $
    * wrong placements
    * exclusion of image ads = may reduce high paying video or image competitors
    * totally wrong background color of pages

    reasons can be manifold
if you want to find real solutions - then you may have to give your URL

Hello! I guess you don't have many visitors, and your page has a low rank. If you can fix it, the prices will grow up to 10 times or more.

OK I understand why people will want to block MFA sites as it will mean that when I visitor clicks thru from you link they will go to a so called not so good site, but removing these ads will not mean that you will start earning more per click.

Google is big, they are here to make money, they are not going to put $0.01 per click ads on your page for the keyword "myspace" if they also have $0.62 per click ads for the same keyword. In other words, they will show the highest paying ads first followed by the smallest. It wouldn't suprise me that if you remove some of these ads then you may end up replacing them with public service ads. lol
