Domain nameserver issues?

Discussion in 'Site & Server Administration' started by Jez, Jun 6, 2007.

    Hi,

About a week ago I changed my VPS namserver details as I sold the old domain that was set up as nameserver. All seemed OK but now about 50 to 70 percent of people can't view the sites that are on that server. Is it likely to be a nameserver issue? I asked the host who could not find any problem - they could even view my sites via proxy and I have had no problems viewing them either but I am getting lots of reports of people that can't - also adsense is down on the sites that have it on that server. Any ideas? This is driving me crazy!

This is the DNS report - but as I know nothing at all about DNS so it doesn't really mean anything to me. http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?%26domain%3Datripto.co.uk

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jez.

Add the A record in your server for the nameservers

If you have cPanel/WHM root access

It can be done by going to Basic cpanel setup on the top of left panel. Scroll down to bottom, enter your nameservers and enter an A record for them.

Also, do have have nameservers enabled?
