AdSense now allows 3 link units on a page, up from 1. http://adsense.blogspot.com/2007/06/policy-updates-and-its-not-even.html I think this will be good. Link units are pretty unobtrusive, so having 3 of them per page is usually fine.
Well, I suppose it gives people the option to go with more link units than ads. However, allowing 6 units in total (3 ads and 3 link units) is far too many, in my opinion.
There should be allowed: 24 link units. 38 ads 97 banners and no content allowed. Any content found is automatic ban That'll learn 'em. Col
LOL, you know, I've SEEN pages that looked pretty close to that already! At least they're safe...the rest of us are screwed
Lol, wow imagine all the MFA's out there that will be loving this! 1 link unit is all I need for my sites.
Well, as long as you have a good site/blog, i don't think you will stuff it with too many ads. So, this new "thing" won't bring you any good. But MFA builders will love it like someone allready said.
lol guys, google just add few more options and yes read it rightly its an 'option' its not compulsory that you should add those all link units and ad units.. thats your wish whether you should add or not..
The fact remains, however, that a lot of people ARE going to gawdy up their sites with them. I thinking of myself as a USER now.
It's good for blogs though. I link unit after the first 3 posts, 1 ad unit in sidebar, 1 before the first post, and one ad link somewhere else. I thouhgt google doesn't allow any more MFAsites
Lol that was really funny Anyways yeah I agree with QuestCommunication... 6 Units on 1 Page is far to many I think they shld make Link Unit to Probably back to 1 or 2 not more than that...
They've NEVER been allowed, but there sure was a plethora of them, weren't they? Just because they are REALLY NOT allowed now doesn't mean they aren't going to keep popping up. As I said in another thread, the proof is in the enforcement.
Thats what i meant. I heard that starting june 1st, adsense started closing down mfa site owners' adsense accounts.
It'll take time. There isn't just a switch unfortunately I figure they'll gather the list from other webmasters reporting MFA sites, looking at site exclusion lists and also seeing poor conversions from the AdWords users on their ads.. eventually they'll go! First thing is first though, they said they were also going to stop people advertising AdSense template packages (MFA sites ready to download) via AdWords from June 1st too - however, a quick search shows them all still active ... :S
