    the person who made it was paid 400,000 euros..

    amazing.. i could do better than that.

    still, a logo is a logo, and obviously someone was happy with it,

    what do u guys think

    I was watching a news story about that on TV. It's like animated or something and changes colours.

    Still, 400,000 euros? Heck, they got ripped. They should have held a $100 contest on DP instead :p

    As always, design is a matter of taste - I do not like the logo at all though, neither the shape nor any of the color combinations.

    I haven't seen the animations yet, so I cannot judge on that.

    Dunno, I was watching it on SBS. Looks like they have some tv ads made for it. There were some people jogging through a tunnel sort of thing and the logo was following them along, changing colours. Looked alright, but not fantastic.

    You sure they didn't get mixed up and think it was the 1984 Olympics again. That logo stinks.

    Heard about it on the news too... Well, it's a logo and if they liked it, then that's it. But to give that much money for it, I think there was something else there... Made me think about the "Mickey Blue Eyes" movie...

    logo is bloody awful. the 2012 is too hard to read.. and its more like a funky disco party not olympics. Should stick to professional design..

    The animated version works quite well but I think they should have put more thought into the static print design as that's how most people will see it.
